Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.

Performs a wide variety of professional and administrative technical engineering duties associated with the design, construction and inspection of Palm Beach County's water/wastewater public utility systems. Reviews, coordinates and approves the work of both County and developer utility installation as well as building construction projects for adherence to contracts/specifications as issued by County and state regulatory codes, including treatment plant processes. Conducts and coordinates special construction projects involving expansion and improvement of treatment process.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida OR a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering; minimum of four (4) years of experience in professional water resources engineering. Equivalency: Related Master's Degree and three (3) years of related experience.
Necessary Special Requirement: Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida or the ability to obtain licensure by endorsement within 12 months of hire.
PREFERENCE FOR: Two (2) years of project management or supervisory experience related to the construction of public water utility systems; one (1) year of experience working as a P.E. for/on behalf of a governmental entity (must specify on application); experience working with/adhering to civil engineering project permitting procedures that involve compliance with federal/state/local water control standards and regulations.
